Laa Chol

29th March 1999 - 21st July 2018

Laa Chol moved from Shepparton to the South East of Melbourne where she joined Skye United as part of our 2018 Senior Women's Squad.

She was described by friends and family as a clever and happy person, as well as a second-year legal studies student and talented soccer player.

Her passing sent shockwaves through our entire club. Laa will forever be our "number 8" - since her tragic death at just 19 years old, number 8 has been retired from our women's squad.

Immediately following Laa's death, her parents asked that the team play on. It was an extremely emotional round against Monbulk who were also acknowledging the loss of their former coach Anna Hopkins.

Laa continues to be honoured by our club in a Memorial Round in July
